Path and reputation
Luang Pu Toh Inthasuwanno, known widely as LP Toh, was one of the greatest meditation masters of twentieth-century Thailand. He was born in 2429 BE (1886) and belonged to the Bangkok meditation tradition, serving as abbot of Wat Pradu Chimplee (วัดประดู่ฉิมพลี) for sixty-eight consecutive years.
His reputation rested first on practice. He was renowned for the depth and stability of his samadhi (สมาธิ), meditative absorption, and that standing placed him among the most sought-after monks to preside over a phutthaphisek (พุทธาภิเษก), the consecration ceremony in which a batch of amulets is awakened. His presence on a ceremony roster significantly enhanced a batch's perceived authority, which is why his name recurs across the consecration records of the period.
He worked within a notable circle of contemporaries, including LP Sot of Wat Pak Nam, founder of the Dhammakaya method, and LP Nong of Wat Khlong Madan. His own signature piece is the Phra Pidta (พระปิดตา), the eyes-closed Buddha, a form closely tied to his name among collectors and devotees.

Legacy
LP Toh held the royal monastic title Phra Ratcha Sangwora Phimon (พระราชสังวราภิมณฑ์). He died in 2524 BE (1981), closing a tenure at Wat Pradu Chimplee that had spanned sixty-eight years.
His editions remain central to how collectors read his work, from the Pidta Metta Mahasaneh of roughly 2518 to 2521 BE, to the Somdej Sam Liam Kha Toh and Jan Loi of 2518 BE (1975), to the Pidta Maha Lap Jumbo first batch of 2520 BE (1977). Taken together with his long record of presiding over consecrations, these pieces explain his lasting authority: a master whose meditative reputation made both his own amulets and the ceremonies he led carry unusual weight.
